About the artwork
This abstract work is an informal painting in mixed media, made with textural and different materials, such as ash, rust and pigments applied very watery in many layers on top of each other. This creates a very tactile surface. The blue pigments combined with white pigments, marble powder, slate powder and rust are reminiscent of water. Compositionally, the vertical format reveals a kind of sequence. These pictorial elements seem to be somehow related and to communicate. Hence the title “Water Whispers”.
The painting is framed in a white wooden shadow gap frame. The painting can be easily hung on the wall with two screws / dowels.
