Media Coverage: Press Reviews of Exhibitions and Art Projects
My exhibitions and art projects have been featured several times in the regional and local press. There has been particularly extensive coverage of unusual exhibition venues, such as the art exhibition “Tapetenwechsel” in a building slated for demolition or the project “Aus der Fülle schöpfen” in a building under construction. A special highlight is the portrait “Der gelebte Traum” in the Rheinpfalz Ludwigshafen, which sheds light on my journey as a native of Ludwigshafen and now a successful artist living far from home.
Article about the exhibition of my students in the Münchner Merkur, local section of the munich countryside, May 13, 2022

In May 2022, I organized the group exhibition “Eight Perspectives on Free Painting” at the Gräfelfing Community Center for the participants in my painting classes. Eight students with varying levels of experience presented their works—created in my studio—for the first time there—a wonderful testament to how much artistic diversity can emerge in just a few years of classes.
Article about me & my art in the “Rheinpfalz”, December 17th, 2021

In my hometown of Ludwigshafen, my journey as an artist did not go unnoticed: Under the title “The Dream Come True,” the Rheinpfalz published an in-depth profile of me—covering my journey from Ludwigshafen to Munich and how I made my dream of living as an artist a reality there. It’s a must-read for anyone who wants a personal glimpse into my story.
Article about Augmented Reality, my art & me in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, February 19th, 2021

During the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional ways of reaching customers—such as trade shows and art openings—were no longer an option, so I decided to explore new digital avenues. I had 25 of my large-format works developed as 3D objects that can be projected directly onto one’s own wall using an augmented reality app. This made me one of the first female artists in Germany to use this technology for her art—an approach that the Süddeutsche Zeitung highlighted in this article. (But I’ve since switched to the APP service.)

Announcement of the exhibition “Leuchtwerk” in the Süddeutsche, 13.10.2018

In October 2018, I presented my exhibition “Leuchtwerk” at the Bürgerhaus Gräfelfing, featuring primarily large-format paintings in which I experimented selectively with neon colors, literally making the paintings glow.
Article in Münchner Merkur from January 25th, 2018 about the exhibition “Freigeister”

From January to March 2018, I presented my solo exhibition titled “Freigeister” at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried—featuring an extensive series of works created specifically for the exhibition, including powerful acrylic paintings and delicate wax-based collages. The free, open compositions deliberately left the viewer plenty of room for their own interpretation. At the closing event, art historian Dr. Barbara Rollmann-Borretty moderated an artist talk with me.
Article in Münchner Merkur from October 23, 2017 about the exhibition “Change of scenery”

In October 2017, I transformed a dilapidated house on Waldheimstraße in Gräfelfing into an unusual exhibition space for three days. Against a backdrop of floral and diamond-patterned wallpaper, I exhibited new works—ranging from informal paintings to material-based works and wax-coated collages. A video of the opening reception for the exhibition “Tapetenwechsel” was also produced and is well worth watching.

Article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, March 7, 2017, with the painting “Pandora Reloaded I”

In March 2017, artist Andrea Rozorea and I presented our works together for the first time at Uta von Boyen’s “HouseGallery” in Gräfelfing—a novel and very personal exhibition concept at the time, featuring advance registration and individual appointment-based visits. The exhibition showcased a broad spectrum of our work: large-format informal paintings, multi-layered material-based works incorporating ash, paper, and pigments, as well as paper collages under wax—mostly new, previously unpublished works. Particular emphasis was placed on the artistic dialogue between the two of us as artists, as well as on the personal encounter between visitors and the art.
Article in Münchner Merkur (April 18, 2016) about the exhibition “Shiftwork”

In the solo exhibition “Schichtarbeiten,” held in April 2016 at the Bürgerhaus Gräfelfing, I presented a comprehensive overview of my work for the first time—approximately 40 pieces, ranging from large-format material-based paintings to small-format collages. The focus was on my characteristic layering technique using earth, wax, paper, ash, and pigments, as well as multi-layered acrylic paintings featuring delicate glazes and intense color. The exhibition was complemented by short films providing background information on individual works, as well as a specially published 76-page catalog.
