About the artwork
This abstract work is an informal painting in mixedmedia technique, made with texturing and different materials, such as ash, rust and pigments, which are applied in many layers, sometimes very watery, sometimes pasty with a brush or spatula. This creates a very tactile surface and material density overall. The title “Soul Warmer” refers to the colors, which are very mild. You really enjoy looking at the painting, it’s really good to let your gaze wander through it. Hence the title “Soul Warmer”. The light blue color also has a very calming effect.
The painting is framed in a white wooden frame. The painting can be easily hung on the wall with two screws / dowels.
