About the artwork
This abstract work is an informal painting created using mixed media, incorporating textural and varied materials such as ash, rust, and pigments, which are layered upon one another and applied in a very watery consistency. This results in a highly tactile surface. The painting is dominated by a petrol-colored area, applied in many glazed layers, which lends it great depth and, in turn, a mysterious quality. The contrast with the light areas in the upper part of the composition, combined with the rust, creates an enormous sense of tension.
The painting is framed in a black metal frame. It can be easily hung on the wall using two screws and wall anchors.
