About the artwork
This abstract painting in mixed media is a classic non-objective or informal painting in bright, friendly colors in landscape format. I mainly used a turquoise copper pigment, which I mixed with both white and gray or the rust I used. This is combined with ash, which gives the artwork an enormous tactile quality, as well as orange-red rust and white pigments.
The title “Abenteuerlust” (a thirst for adventure) refers to the dynamics in the painting. For one thing, everything seems to be in motion, but in a rather friendly, fresh way. The colors are reminiscent of the sea, or even of a somewhat heavier swell and with it the desire for something new, for fresh air, new thoughts, for wind and energy that lets you think differently.
The painting is framed in a white wooden frame and can be hung directly on the wall using two screws / dowels.
