About the work
The work is a collage of fine Chinese paper, which I colored in advance with coffee, white pigments and ink. After drying, I tore up these papers again and rearranged them in many layers to create the finished picture. I chose the title “Out of my comfort zone” because I see a kind of tree in this collage, e.g. For example, a pine tree that is very strong on the one hand, but also struggles with balance or traction on the other. If something new is to be created, then you have to dare to leave your comfort zone and you may be exposed to one or the other storm or misfortune. Just as long until the new becomes routine again.
