About the artwork
This abstract work is an informal painting in mixed media technique, made with structuring and different materials, such as ash, coffee, Chinese paper and pigments, which lie on top of each other in many layers. The papers soaked with coffee and soot pigment are incorporated into the painting and partially overlaid with layers of pigment. This creates a very tactile surface. The painting is very dark, yet it conveys a warm and very calm impression. It was important to me to show that the world is not just black and white, but that it always depends on the nuances (regardless of the context). Whether it’s a complex situation that needs to be analyzed or a conversation between lovers. It doesn’t matter – nothing is ever black and white.
The painting is framed in a black wooden shadow gap frame.
The painting can be easily hung on the wall with two screws / dowels.
