About the artwork
The very large collage “Yippie No. 11” is made of Chinese paper on canvas. I first colored the paper myself and chose orange tones from light to really rich in combination with darker green and eggplant tones. After drying, I tear the paperfragments that I like into pieces. Then I arrange them on the canvas and create a new composition. The title “Yippie” refers to the positive energy that the painting conveys. It has a lively and very positive effect on the viewer. With Yippie No. 11, I have tried to find a composition that is as light and airy as possible.
The painting is part of the “Yippie” series, is framed in white and can easily be hung on the wall with two dowels/screws.
