About the artwork
This abstract work is an informal painting in mixed media, made with structuring and different materials, such as ash, rust, paper, white and copper-blue pigments, which are applied in many layers and very watery. This creates a very tactile surface. The title “Reiselust” (about travelling) refers to the fresh colours of the painting, as the composition is reminiscent of the sea, a fresh breeze, the wind ruffling your hair or a walk on a sea-swept beach.
The painting is framed in a white wooden frame, which perfectly emphasises the fresh effect of the painting. The artwork can be easily hung on the wall with two screws/plugs.
