About the work
This abstract painting is a collage of very fine china paper that the artist colored herself. After drying, the papers are torn and collaged on top of each other. The layering of the very thin, fine papers creates an unbelievable depth of the image. So white surfaces are never just flat white, but rather a “moving white”, similar to a bright room.
The collage was made in Sardinia and is inspired by the colors of the island. The work can be hung horizontally or upright and is framed in a tight, narrow white wooden frame.
